If you are around 50 years old and not yet retired, we welcome you as part of this ministry. We meet together once a month, in private homes. Occasionally, we plan a one day road trip to a place of interest. There is no set age limit and all are invited to join us. There is a great support and friendship within the group. We look forward to each time together. If interested in attending, please contact Pastor Jerry for more information as the locations and times change frequently.

    Care Ministry
Our purpose for Care Ministry here at Central Assembly is to touch families for the Lord in any way we can.  We do family counseling, individual counseling using the Bible as the base for all wisdom and direction.

We are in the process of establishing a core group of people who would be willing to do errands, fix-it projects, or whatever is needed by individuals who might be unable to do it themselves.

In addition, we are sending Bible study lessons to the inmates each month and corresponding with the ones who would like.  This need is huge and there are not many people who are willing to be involved, but we are trying to build up a group willing to take on this project and do as much as we can for the inmates.

We do hospital visitation, visitation of shut-ins, jail visitation and plan in the future to train those who are interested in this type of ministry so that we can better fill the need that these folks represent.

As a mission outreach we are currently supporting the Cutting Edge Foundation, which is a group of doctors who are building hospitals, residences, schools and gathering equipment to minister medically to the peoples of Sub-Saharan Africa.  The need is enormous, and these folks are doing a miraculous job of filling this need and one can immediately see the the hand of The Lord in their efforts.  They have about five doctors working full time and are looking for people who would be willing to do short term missions projects to help them with all the things they are doing -- building, teaching, children's work and of course Physician services and surgery.  We will try from time to time to share some of the miracles happening through this ministry.

In addition to that , we are supporting Tina Bean who is now teaching English in the country of China.  When possible, we will share her story also.

    Prison Ministry
There is a great need for ministry among the prison population here in Idaho. The needs are great, almost to the point of being overwhelming at times. Our Prison Ministry is accomplished via the mail. We send out a Bible study twice a month. We have close to 50 inmates on our mailing list. In addition to the Bible studies, we correspond personally with many of them. This is a very demanding ministry and requires much prayer. In addition, we have the opportunity to visit some personally at the Ada County jail.

    Men’s Ministry Breakfast
There are a group of men at Central Assembly who have chosen to meet once a month for breakfast. For the most part, this is a social event for the men with a short devotional. We share, there has been a great coming together for the men and many close friendships have developed. Of course, all men of all ages are invited. We meet the second Saturday of every month. If interested in attending, please contact Pastor Jerry for more information as the location changes based on availablity.

    Women's Ministries
The ladies are involved in many practical helps geared towards helping missionaries around the world as well as needs within our own church family. They quietly do their ministry week after week throughout the year. Meetings are twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 10AM-2PM in the East Sanctuary class room. They have devotions and prayer with pot luck lunch and work on crafts for an annual bazaar held each November. This is a great time of fellowship while working for the Lord.
