God has the unfailing ability to always do the right thing.

1 Peter 4:12-16   (NIV1984)

12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 14 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15 If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. 16 However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.

1 Peter 4:12   (MSG) 12Friends, when life gets really difficult, don’t jump to the conclusion that God isn’t on the job.

1 Peter 2:20-21   (NIV1984) 20 But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. 21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.

 1 John 3:13   (MSG) 13So don’t be surprised, friends, when the world hates you. This has been going on a long time.

Surprise, Surprise
My Next Step Today Is:

-   I will memorize I Peter 4:12
-   I am determined to not let the element of surprise derail me as I seek to fulfill God’s             purpose for my life
-   I will embrace the truth that God has the unfailing ability to always do the right thing         no matter what comes my way.
-    I will try to invite or bring at least one person in my sphere of influence to church next         Sunday.
